The Little Match girl usually wanders the streets of Copenhagen, selling her matches and taking whatever charity is offered. After one day of not making a cent, she huddles in the cold, too afraid to go home with nothing. She lights a match to keep warm. She sees such wonderful things in its light that she keeps striking them until she sets ablaze the entire bundle.
In its light, the spirit of her grandmother appears to take her far away. She's found the next morning, still smiling and clutching the bundle of matches.
I have the Little Match Girl, or Annemette "Lærke" as I've decided to call her, entering Milliways as she reaches for her grandmother's hand. This means she isn't dead, but in the process of dying in her world. She's approximately 6-8 years old, as she doesn't know when her brithday is. She has long, fair hair that falls in pretty curls, and light blue eyes. Her Christian name is Annemette, but her grandmother called her "Lærke" or "lark".
The Little Match Girl is the property of Hans Christian Andersen, translated from its original Danish by Jean Hersholt. She appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in , from which no profit whatsoever is being made.
